The first three pictures were sent to me by a friend of mine.  This is what the Palmyra, NY train station looked like in it's day.  My Grandfather worked for the railroad and lived very near to the train station.  The last picture is one that I recently purchased.  The train station closed many years ago and served as a storage building until it burned a couple of years ago.

It was on Walker Road - just under the bridge. I remember it when I was a little girl.

I regret the gradual demise of train of the most relaxing
forms of conveyance, Marilyn. There is a "romance" to railroading...
I was lucky to be one of the two first female members of the Traffic
Club when working in transportation. The sound of a train horn
still thrills.....

Hi Heritage Hall,
I have never been on a real train, but would like to some day. I can hear the sound of the train horn when it passes through town. I enjoy it.
