ERIE CANAL IN THE WINTER

Pictures I took last weekend of the Erie Canal.  I took these on a bridge that is seldom used.  Of course for the last two pictures, there were two cars behind me so I took them fast.  It is really different of those in the summer.

Winter has its own beauty, doesn't it? I know what you mean about taking pics in a hurry - it never fails that there's no cars for the longest time, but when you try for a photo, there they come!

Goo Morning Mary,
Winter sure does have it's own beauty, You are right when it comes to take pictures. I don't know where they came from, but they came.

...I hope that you enjoyed the warmup, I understand that cold temps are in the forecast. Stay warm.

Winter light does make the Erie look eerie, yet beautiful still.
Great pictures considering your "rush"....

Beautiful shots.

The Erie Canal dates to about the same era as our Rideau Canal, just a few years older. Photographs I've seen of the locks show a lot of the same style.
