JEAN'S FREEZER PICKLES

JEAN'S FREEZER PICKLES

2 qt cucumbers
2 Tbsp salt
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup onion
1 1/2 cups sugar

Leave peel on cucumbers.  Thinly slice cucumbers and onions.  Mix with salt and let stand 2 hours.  Drain. Bring sugar and vinegar to a boil in saucepan.  Poor over cucumbers mixing while hot.  Let stand 15 minutes.  Put into containers and freeze.  Remove from freezer a container at a time and keep  in the refrigerator as you eat them.

I enjoy dills best too, but these sound good.

I admit that I'm fairly indifferent about pickles. A branch of my family, however, pretty much had pickles at most dinners.
