GRANDMOTHER OLIVE'S CRANBERRY ORANGE CREAM MOLD

Grandmother Olive's Cranberry Orange Cream Mold

1 pkg ( 6 oz) black cherry jello
1 1/2 Cups boiled water
1 can ( 16 oz ) whole berry cranberry sauce
1 can ( 8 oz ) mandarin orange sections
1 pint sour cream
1/2 Cup toasted walnuts

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.  Add cranberry sauce and stir until sauce is melted and berries float separately,  Add remaining ingredients and stir until well blended.  Pour mixture into 2 qt. mold and refrigerate until firm.

This is a different way to have cranberry for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas.

Good Morning Tom,

Some of us like cranberry and some of us don't.

I'm not a big jello fan, but this combination sounds tasty. I love the tartness of cranberry so combined with the sweetness of orange (plus yummy walnuts), I would try this. Thanks for the recipe!

Hi Mary,
I will see that Grandmother Olive gets your response. She thought it would be something different than the run of the mill for cranberries. Also, might encourage those that don't like cranberries (like me) to try it this way.
