JANE CULVER'S 5 HOUR STEW
JANE CULVER'S 5 HOUR STEW
2 lb beef for stewing; cut into 1 inch cubes
2 Tbsp tapioca
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp sugar
1 c. V-8 juice
1/3 to 1/2 red wine
2 onions quartered
5 carrots quartered
Brown meat and combine ingredients in tightly covered pan. Bake at 250 degrees for 5 to 6 hours. Serve over rice, noodles, or potatoes.
Mrs. Jane Culver recently passed away at 90 years old. She was my Home Ed cooking teacher almost 60 years ago in Junior High at School. So I put the recipe on in her memory. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Culver. You were the best cooking teacher - next to my Mom

These pictures are of trains at the fair. I am not sure if I put these on or not.

VEGETABLE BASKETS
At the fair, last August, were these beautiful baskets with vegetables. Thought it was time to have something to look forward to in this coming spring and summer. Honest spring is coming in a few months.

SILOS
While driving I also got pictures of barns with silos.
I don't have it on today, but I hope to have a post on Sunday or Monday. Edward is going to give it and right now he is doing peoples taxes, so I
get him when I can.

PALMYRA, NY - METHODIST CHURCH FOR SALE
Methodist Church
For Sale Sign
Parsonage
On January 12, 2014, I told of Palmyra, New York being the only town in the USA with four churches on the four corners. On January 26, 2014, I told of the Methodist Church. It is sad, but the Methodist Church and parsonage are up for sale. It is do to small members of the church. I hope this ends up staying as a Christian church and parsonage.

Saw this after Christmas, but thought it was interesting.
Saw this after Christmas, too.
Saw this and the one below in the country.
Sign I saw while driving around.
