WITNESS

On February 8, 1985, the movie Witness was released.  A young Amish boy is the witness to a murder.  John Book is on the case and realizes that the killer is one of the police.  He takes the young boy and his mother home to their Amish area.  Of course there is romance.  Another post tomorrow.
                                                              John Book (Harrison Ford)
                                                        Rachel (Kelly McGillis)
                                                        Samuel (Lukas Haas)
                                                        Eli Lapp (Jan Rubes)

...I remember seeing it, an interesting show, but perhaps not realistic.

Good Morning Tom,

That movie got me interested in Amish and then Mennonite. I don't believe it was realistic, either, but it was a great movie.

Good movie of old. Certain parts were complimentary and other parts
seemed invasive of privacy and misleading. Nonetheless, certainly worth viewing.

Hi Heritage Hall,
I agree, it was a good movie. I also agree with complimentary in parts and seemed invasive of privacy and misleading in some parts.
