JEAN'S PISTACHIO BREAD

JEAN'S PISTACHIO BREAD

1 box yellow cake mix
2 small pistachio instant pudding
5 eggs
1 cup water
1/2 cup oil

Grease two bread pans.  Blend all ingredients at medium speed for 2 minutes.  Pour mixture into the two bread pans.  Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

These are quick to make for your home, pot luck supper, bake sale and more.  They are fast to make and a great taste.

Be With God,
Jean

Good Morning Everyone,

It is 7 degrees here and, as yet, we have not received any snow. We are suppose to warm up some next week. Hope you enjoy Jean's recipe.

That sounds like it would be good and different. Will give it a try.
Weather here is 23 and wind chill 11. I'm heading out to the doctor, love these early appointments.

Good Morning Jodie,
Glad you like the recipe.

I'm not the only one that likes the earliest doctor appointments. I like to get in and get out. Hope you get a good report.

This recipe sounds great. All I need is the pudding mix, and I think I'll get it later today when I go to the grocery store. I can't wait to try it. Thank you for posting it. ~Doreen

Brace yourself folks. I am going to do something today, I very seldom do-cook. Yesterday, I bought some groceries to make chili. Usually I go to the senior nutrition center, but I got a call they are not opening today, so I am going to use my crock pot. I have had the crock pot for over a year and have never used it. Never used the new oven I got last year either. So, I am going to break in the new crock pot.

Since I'm home today from work "under the weather" (no its not the flu) I thought that Id stop by and say hello.

Its freezing over here in the Lancaster area as well everyone so I dont think anyone living on the northeast has been spared the almost zero temps, and with the wind Included that makes it feel even lower.

While I'm here I need to address some comments that I've recieved about that "Amish Mafia" ad on my own little blog, first I'm not in prison and no I have no criminal record. So everyone its just me having a little fun with that TV show and nothing else, and like I have commented those Amish that I have spoken with dont seem very concerned or upset with it, so I'm thinking why should I.

I think by now the Amish here have pretty much accepted these type of shows, which have been going on for over 10 years now. We locals are pretty much getting a big kick out of the "Amish Mafia" mostly in seeing the filming locations, and I do know just a little about a few of the characters who are on the show which I found out by just talking to some folks.

Trust me when I tell you that if I could start a van tour business showing the filming locations of that show I would, so if anyone from Hollywood is reading this count me in as being ready and able to carry out that mission.

I'm thinking 29.95 person which would include a light lunch sounds about right! Richard

Marilyn,

You should visit http://fix-itandforget-it.com/blog/ for all kinds of crock pot recipes. Good luck with your cooking.

Good Morning Richard,
Sorry you aren't feeling well.

I had the idea some of the people thought you were serious about the Amish Mafia. Having known you as long as I have, I knew you were kidding.

You ever get that tour going, let me know. Now, that I would like to go on, but you must include the location of Witness, too. Of course lunch would have to be at an Amish or Mennonite house. LOL

Hi Vickie,
Thank you. I will have to try it, too. It looks easy-even for me.

Hi Anonymous,
I usually don't go to blog's that don't leave names-but I broke my rule this time and went to fit-itandforget-it. It is really great. I have it on my favorites. Thank you.

Well, my chili has been in the crock pot a couple of hours now, so I hope it ocmes out right. I don't think you can go to much wrong with a crock pot. Can't wait to eat it for dinner.

Cant really do that "Witness movie tour" Marilyn as someone else is already doing that as you know, but maybe I should get into a "helping folks plan their Lancaster vacation business". So if any takers are out there let me know and and I will put together a price point for you. Richard

That sounds like good idea. I would like to come in the summer, if I can scrape the money together. I would come during the week and would bring Pierre with me. Of course, he couldn't go on a tour because I am sure that is not allowed. Also, if I went I would like an area I could just drive my car around in and see the Amish farms.

Marilyn that's great and I have put together a nice weekend planner for you and little Pierre , and the cost for that would be 99.00 dollars.

I'm calling this plan the "Lancaster express" and I would include in that plan the location of Lancaster's Johnny pumps so Pierre can find relief anywhere in the county.

I will even throw-in an Amish made pooper scooper which Pierre and you will appreciate. All kidding aside I should do something like this from my home so I'm now taking all inquires, I know what's worth visiting and what's not in the area.

Maybe those bright lights of Broadway were right in front of me, and I never saw it! That was pretty deep even coming from me, wow. Richard

Hi Richard,
Thank you for the tour. I am sure Pierre would like it. You never know who is watching you from Broadway or Hollywood.
