FOOD TIME-NEW YORK HAITI BENEFIT AUCTION-POST 3

Above is our breakfast.  You paid by donation-there was no set price. Also there was a bakery:
All the money from the breakfast and bake food sale went to Haiti.  Amish and Mennonite ladies donated baked goods for this bake sale, Jean included.

JEAN WILL HAVE A SPECIAL POST ON TOMORROW !!!!

I love the idea of no set price for the breakfast. We do that with an event I'm a part of, but just coffee and a donut. We make more money through donations than if we charged a specific price. The baked goods all look delicious.

Good Morning Doreen,
I think that is a great idea, too. David brought my breakfast because I had driven us all there. I didn't want him too, but he insisted. I still made a donation. The food was worth every dollar of it. Bake goods were delicious, too.

Wow!five dollars for a pie?! What a deal! and six for pecan..still a bargain! Around here.....Amish pies go for seven and eight dollars! I would buy quite a few..if I were there..and freeze them! shoot...a bag of pecans can start at five dollars here! I need to visit up state NY!!! LOL!!!

Hi Sue Ann,
I couldn't believe the prices myself that's why I wanted to make sure I got them in the pictures. You get the same prices at the local Farmers Markets that the Mennonite and Amish have baked goods at.

I also want to thank Sue Ann for agreeing to handle the canning information. You are a life saver. As this posts says Sue Ann has canned for many years. Her post will be on July 1st.
