A while back I signed up for this lunch cruise on Canandaigua Lake that Fran, in our apartments, was setting up, but as sometimes happens, things came up, money became a problem, so I had to cancel. Rita, a friend of mine, had offered to loan me the money, but I thanked her and turned it down. So on Friday the 13th, I was at the Nutrition Center. The other ladies at Nutrition Center were talking about it being Friday the 13th. I said good things happen to me on that day. A little while later, my friend Shirley called and asked me if I could get back to the apartments. Lunch had just come into the center, so we were all busy. I asked Shirley why. She said our manager had something come up and had to cancel, so she offered the trip to anyone that would go in her place. If I could get back there in 15 minutes, it was mine, FREE. I explained the situation to the ladies at nutrition and they said go. So here we are in Canandaigua, New York. The boat was the Canandaigua Lady. Here are all the ladies and gentlemen from our apartments, that went along, going to get our tickets. Next picture shows Fran and Danny working out who gets what tickets. Then the Canandaigua Lady welcomes us. You can see the front top of the boat and boats around it. It was cold (in the 50's) and raining so we all went inside. The man in the blue jacket was our captain John. Pictures shows the island, Yacht Club, some of the cottages along the lake and the leaves changing already. The last cottage in the pictures belongs to friends of mine, Bob and his wife. The last picture shows us getting off the ship. What I didn't show was our lunch on there. Also, I did not go up to the top deck with all the waves and wind. We all had a ball. I thank Rita for being there when our manager said she couldn't go and mentioning my name, which made Shirley call and I ended up on the trip. There were a couple ladies on there that didn't belong to our apartments, but we brought them into our group in short order. I am not in any of these pictures, but Fran, has a couple of me that she will send over to me-computer to computer. Hope you enjoy the cruise, I went on. As Shirley would say: "A good time was had by all."
