JEAN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS CANDY AND AMISH SUGAR COOKIES

JEAN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS CANDY

1 lb. white chocolate or almond bark
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
1 1/2 cups Spanish peanuts.

Melt white chocolate and peanut butter, then blend together.  Add Rice Krispies and Spanish peanuts.  Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper.  Store in covered container when cool and firm.

AMISH SUGAR COOKIES

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup corn oil
1 cup margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt

Cream sugar, margarine, oil, vanilla, and eggs.  Add flour, soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Chill.  Drop from teaspoon or form into balls.  Butter bottom of flat glass: dip into granulated sugar and press down lightly.  Bake at 350 degrees until light browned.  About 10-12 minutes.

Good Morning Everyone,
You will note that in a couple of places Jean has two recipes like today. She had more recipes than room so she put two together. We by mistake left a recipe from Edward off and that will be on January 8th.

It's in the 30's this morning and suppose to rise. We do have rain today.

Has Edward been helping with making the cookies? I'm looking forward to his recipe. Thanks for the two that are on today. As usual they look delicious.

Hi Doreen,
Yes, Edward has been helping with all of Jean's baking for Christmas. I felt bad we left that off. Didn't know until Jean told me, he didn't want to hurt my feelings. Spoke with him and apologized and we agreed on January 8th. Glad you liked the two on today.
