Jean and I were talking the other day about stuffing and seasonings.  I don't know about you, but at our home we have stuffing at some our meals all year around not just at Thanksgiving and Christmas.  This is an old Amish recipe that has been in my family for many generations. When I gave this recipe to Jean, she told me she thought you folks would like it and to put it on here, so here goes:

1 cup dried crumbled sage leaves
2 cups crumbled dry parsley leaves
1 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup ground rosemary
1/4 cup ground marjoram
1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/4 lb. butter

Combine sage, parsley, onion powder, salt, pepper, rosemary, marjoram and ginger.  Place in small jars.  Put on the front directions to add 1 tbsp of poultry seasoning to 1/4 lb of butter for rubbing on fowl, hen, turkey or goose when roasting.  The same combination could be added to bread stuffing.

Putting poultry seasoning into little jars or bags with front directions would make a nice gift for friends at anytime.

Thanks again Anna+Jean for the recipe! Sounds really good as well as being a nice gift. Of course, thank you, Marilyn, for posting! I'm sure we all appreciate the efforts of the writers+yourself that it takes to form and maintain such an interesting+helpful blog.
Was 87 here yesterday; and will be about 78 today with rain late tonight into tomorrow morning.
Do you have any further info on the clean up in PennYan? Blessings, Carol

Hi Carol,
Thank you for your comments. I will see that Anna and Jean get your messages.

It was in the 80's here yesterday, too.

I will have to ask Jean or Elmer about what's going on in Penn Yan. I know they are still planning on having the Haiti Auction on June 21st.

Blessings to you and yours,
