FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, NEWARK, NY

First United Methodist Church was built in the 1800's.  I couldn't read the setting stones because they had a railing in front of it.  Several of my cousins go to this church. I went to one of my aunt's funeral in the church.  The stained glass windows in this church are outstanding.  I hope I get a chance to get inside the church and take pictures.  This brick church was built in great style.  It is a beautiful church. The people of this church do a lot for charity.  They are the only church I know that has Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day for anyone - rich or poor, single person or family - FREE.  Members even deliver dinners to the homes of people who are ill, handicapped, etc. that can't make it to  the church for Christmas dinner - FREE.

Hi Evie,
I thought this church was built different than a lot of them.

Also, I think it is great that put on the Christmas Dinner for those that wouldn't otherwise have one.
