DUTCHLAND FOODS GROCERY STORE, MARION, NY

Thought I would take a run by the Dutchland Grocery Store and see how it's coming. Doesn't look like they are going to make it open this month.  They still have a way to go.  Will keep you in touch.

Hello Folks,
I don't know if you know or not, but the trial of the Amish that cut Amish people's beards off has been overturned. It looks like the Amish people that are in jail for these crimes might be released. I am trying to get a hold of Elmer to see what he thinks about this.

Got a hold of Elmer. He says that this did not happen to his group of Amish, but if this goes retrial and Samuel Mullet Sr. is released from jail that the Mullet group will split if they haven't already. Those that agree with Samuel Mullet Sr. will stay with him and the others will split and form their own group. Now Elmer said, this isn't for sure, but he is going by what has happened when Amish disagree. He, his family and Eli, his family and others of the group left when they disagreed with their Bishop in another state. This is how other Amish groups are formed sometimes. Now Elmer said this isn't law. It's not for sure what is going to happen. It's just his thoughts and what he has seen in other problem times including his own.

Hi Marilyn, Yes, building takes time, money, and following the building codes; not to mention I'm sure the owners want everything right+in order before opening. Patience is a virtue, just not easy(LOL) ;p. it'll be great! Blessings, Carol

Hi Carol,
I will be patient. It will be worth it in the end, I hope.
