FREIGHT TRAIN COMING THROUGH MY TOWN

If you have never seen a freight train before, I hope you enjoy these pictures.  They say that between 80 and 90 trains run through our town on these tracks every day.  Mostly are freight trains, but of course, Amtrak also comes through carrying passengers.

As I've said before, I love your pictures, an assortment of lots of different things.
I love trains, especially steam engines.
Through out the years, we have taken vacations where we could take an excursion on a steam engine.
Stay warm

I love freight trains, they are my alarm clock. We have one that passes by at 4am and then I know I have 2 more hours of sleep. I travel on Old Lincoln Highway each day and the freight train runs along it.

Good Morning Jodie,
So happy you like the assortment of different pictures I have on. I try to get an assortment so I don't have the same old thing all the time. My dream is to take a trip on a train one day.

Good Morning Gisela,
You have a real neat alarm system with the train. We have a back road here that if you follow it you are right along side the train. Every once in a while someone tries to bet the train to the crossing and they don't always make it.

Good Morning Tom,
You never want to hit that rail crossing too fast after coming down the hill - it will send your can in the air. No kidding. Enjoy Hawaii. Send heat !!!!

You got some really nice pictures there, all clear shots.Hard to do on a moving object.

They are a sight to see,but not too much fun when you're standing at a red light and train is super long,i've done that a few times.

Stay safe and warm Ingrid

Hi Ingrid,
I did delete some pictures because they had came out in a slur. Since I took these I found a better location to take pictures there. I might take pictures there when spring comes. You know how hard it is to take pictures of trains. These are the first that I have taken of trains.

You stay safe and warm, too,
Marilyn
