Hi Jean+Marilyn, Hmmmm, another delicious sounding recipe! Is it possible to substitute honey for the refined sugar, and if so, how much? Blessings all, Carol

Good Morning Marilyn, this sounds wonderful, will have to leave out the nuts since we have someone in our family with nut allergies, but it still sounds wonderful, can't wait to try. Have a wonderful and hopefully not too warm & humid day! Cathy in Webster

Good morning, Marilyn. I need to stop reading your blog BEFORE I go to work. LOL All of the recipes (well, except for those with beets, LOL) always make me hungry. Have a great day!

Good Morning Carol,

It does sound good. I think you could make it with out fruits too. I will have to ask Jean about the honey. I really don't know.

Good Morning Cathy,
A lot of recipes say nuts but you don't have to put them in. A friend of mine's daughter is allergic to nuts. It's a beautiful day so far. Have to go to the eye doctor today.

Good Morning Carol,
I got Jean and she said yes you use honey instead of sugar. Up to one cup use equal amounts of honey as you would sugar. Over one cup replace sugar with 2/3 to 3/4 honey depending on taste you like. ALSO lower baking temperature by 25 degrees as recipes with honey cook faster than those with sugar.

Hi Folks,
Well,, I got the car back this morning. It was the ABS (Automatic Brake System) on my car. He did something so I have brakes on the car again. The bill was $102.60, which he added to what I owe him. I praise God that's all is costs.

He did say the car will need new brakes but they are fine for a while. The bill for them will be a big one. Anyway he said don't worry about it for a while. I forgot to ask him how long a while is.

I want to thank you all for your prayers. Even after what Elmer said, I must admit I worried a bit about the bill. It's a bad bill but not as bad as I thought it would be.
