JEAN'S MOTHER'S PUMPKIN PIE

My Mother makes this recipe as my Father is diabetic.  It is such a hit, we make it at our house - none of us are diabetic, we just enjoy the taste. It helps to watch our weight, too.

JEAN'S MOTHER'S PUMPKIN PIE

1 16 oz can pumpkin (or fresh pumpkin)
2 packs artificial sweetener
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups skim milks
1 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1.2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg, well beaten

Mix all ingredients together.  Bake at 375 degrees for one hour or until knife comes out clean.

Good morning, Marilyn. My husband is a diabetic, too. This would be a nice alternative to the high sugar pies we usually have. Bigger piece for him! LOL

Good Morning Angela,
This would be better than high sugars for your husband. Will see that Jean gets your message.

Hi Folks,
I went off the internet again. Then I got back on. So if you don't hear from me you know that my internet is off again. They are sending a truck again. Seeing I live down the street, I hope I am one of the firsts. Thought this was all over.

Hi Folks,
I am back on running smoothly... I don't know how long this is going to last. Verizon sent the man in the truck again. He gave me a new modular. Wow everything moves faster. He showed me how to get on WiFi if my internet goes again, so I can keep on going. If this goes out again, I am going with Time Warner. I don't want to change, but I will. Can't keep taking this. Maybe, I will just go on WiFi, I don't know.

But I'm back.

I will make it this weekend. If it's just for me, I bake the filling without a crust.

Will you please ask Elmer or someone to explain about the different Amish groups in your area?
Also will Jean, or someone, tell us about the different Mennonite groups in in your area?
How do the Amish and Mennonite buggies differ?
Do the Amish or Mennonites ride bicycles?

Thank you.

Hi Anonymous,
I will see that Jean and Elmer get your questions. They like questions. Sometimes they don't know what to say in their posts and questions helps them.

Hi Folks,
We are getting winds up to 50 miles an hour tomorrow. It may cut the internet lines - I don't know for sure. If they do, I will try and go WiFi. Of course,, Id don't know if wind effects that or not. I am just a few feet from where the WiFi is. Just wanted you to know in case I'm not on tomorrow because of wind.

I brought in my porch chairs and table. Also brought in the plants that were on my porch. So I hope I brought all the items in, I should.
