TROLLEY STATION, LYONS, NY

I had this on before and didn't know what it was.  Well yesterday, I decided I was going to find out what it was.  It was the Trolley Station.  To get to it now you drive on Cole Road but in it's day, you would get there off of Route 31.  In front of it was all grass.

The front half of the building was the Trolley Station.  The back half of the building was for repairing Trolley Cars.  If a trolley car needed repair, that is where it went.

When Trolley's went out, the property was sold to Agway who still owns the building and a couple of buildings next to this one.

I was told that it is really something to see on the inside, but I didn't want to go in there alone.  Maybe some day I will get in there.

Anyway, I solved the mystery.

Aw, I remember riding the trolley's many, many years ago. We lived in the country and had to walk quite a long way to the trolley stop. It took us into Richmond (VA).

Good Morning Jodie,
I never rode on a real trolley. When my family use to vacation in Gatlinburg, Tenn, instead of buses, they had trolley cars with wheels on them.

Good Morning Tom,
I would ever have guessed that either. A train station, maybe, but not a trolley station. I'm game to go.

My family owns this building, it is not at all safe to go inside not only because of the decay, but also the chemicals left behind from it being a fertilizer plant are extremely hazardous. The property is always under watch as the building can be seen from our other properties which surround this property. There are multiple buildings on this property as well, not just this one.
